In this poker game, you can’t lose.

To celebrate National Employee Health and Fitness Day, Marquette will be hosting a “Poker Walk.” To play, walkers will trek the Marquette Mile and collect cards throughout the route. The best poker hands at the end will win massages, gift cards, 15-week fitness classes and a one year membership to the campus recreational facilities.

Interested? Join President Scott R. Pilarz, S.J., Provost John Pauly and Executive Vice President Mary DiStanislao on May 15th. The walk begins at 12:15, with comments from Father Pilarz at 12:10p.m.

Participants may start the walk at a time convenient for them between noon and 1 p.m. and the walk starts and ends at the Rec Center (525 N 16th St.). Rain location will be inside the Rec Center.

You can register online or at the Rec Center just prior to the event from 11:45a.m. – 12:10p.m. If you plan on attending, please register online by Friday, May 10th. Registration prior to the event is not required, but RSVP is encouraged. For questions, please contact Kristin Kipp at kristin.kipp@marquette.edu or 288-5607.
